Oh yeah, before I forget - May the Fourth be with you, from Leia & Luke, twins separated and adopted to different homes! ID: a photo of a tweet I posted that reads "Let's also remember 3 of the justices are adoptive parents. Roberts and Coney Barrett adopted internationally and Thomas was a relative adoption. And they all want to dismantle ICWA in favor of non-Native adoptive parents" A reminder that a group of us were warning about the use of adoption as an anti-abortion argument when Amy Coney Barret was confirmed and I also suggest reading Kathryn Joyce's piece (second photo). Link to first article in my profile. Taking notes on a new-to-me book. So far I'm really digging Raising Government Children: A History of Foster Care and the American Welfare State by Catherine Rymph. This is another must-read for anyone working in child welfare, foster care and adoption. To all who celebrate!
