  1. I am sitting here waiting for the story to come on the nightly news. I saw the preview and I was elated for him! Now I don’t have to wait, I will go read the story. Thanks for the link!

  2. OK, the story just came on as I was sending my comment. So his mother says “When we brought him home he kept saying over and over Oma, I guess that means mom”
    Why is she guessing? That made me mad.
    (I hope I spelled Oma correctly.)
    That aside the story made me cry.

  3. I had to smile at that photograph of them. Both with hair down the sides of their faces.
    I am surprised, now after years of being an a-parent, that this wasn’t something more discussed during counseling prior to adopting.
    The one time it was, the answers from the other prospective parents made me cringe.
    At that time, mine was “it will be up to them.” At this point I would say I hope they make that connection and that it is a positive one. Frankly, I feel a connection to their families myself and would very much like to get to know them if it works out that way.
