The language used in this article surprised me. I hope there is more to this story than what is included in this article. It is very concerning as a child welfare advocate that this family was split apart without attempts at services, and the use of the word "addicted" regarding the woman’s multiple pregnancies.
There must be more going on . . .

I agree that something seems amiss there.
My mother had seven children taken from her. Five (including myself) when I was nearly 10 years old, the two more later on.
And while everything I know about what happened to her indicates it was the right thing to do, I can’t help but wonder if her family could have survived intact had she received the care and support she really needed.
The social workers that knew for for a few decades that I met at her funeral were visibly disturbed when the exact likeness of her in male and not schizophrenic form walked in and started asking a lot of questions.
