PARAGUAY: ITALIAN COUPLE ARRESTED FOR TRAFFICKING OF BABIES
(AGI) – Asuncion (Paraguay), Sept 26 – An Italian couple – Clara Rossi and Damiano Pizzetti – have been arrested in Paraguay with the accusation of trafficking of newborn children. The operation was coordinated by magistrate Lilian Ruiz and was concluded near Asuncion, in Luque, and led to the arrest also of a Paraguayan priest – Edgar Antonio Bobadilla – and the rescuing of two baby girls. The investigators were looking for a newborn baby girl who had disappeared from the Santani hospital, 250 kilometres north of Asuncion.
