Friday Links

1. Check out Empty Cereal Box’s blog with this excellent synopsis of adoption related films.

2. I wrote a blog post on Kimchi Mamas, a the group blog I’m a part of, last week introducing myself for those who may want to read it, called "Hanging on by a thread."

3. Juli, zine dominatrix at Grinding Up Stones, an online zine for transracial adoptees, has a Parent’s Corner just for adoptive parents. Go check it out! She is also accepting submissions from adoptees, check out her blog for more information.

4. Last night I got to hang out with poet, writer and professor Jennifer Kwon Dobbs. Her book of poetry, Paper Pavillion, is out. Adoptees, support Jennifer – one of the emerging literary voices by transracial adoptees [my town now hosts three amazing Asian adoptee poets – all with books published this year – if we could only get Lee to move, but I doubt he’d want to leave sunny CA 🙂 ]

5. Just for fun – I was so, so, so, so happy to get a chance to see my favorite play/musical last night, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, at the Jungle Theatre. It was an amazing production. A review for those not familiar with the John Cameron Mitchell play.
