Thank you for sharing this. This is one of the reasons why it is imperative for adoptive parents to seek the truth, not just the convenient explanation we’re often told. I’m sickened by people who want a pretty baby with a pretty background story (read: a story that includes limited information including identifying information) so they can move forward with their life as if the adoption was not something worth paying special attention to.
Our children are older children with a history that’s not consistent with what we’ve been told. We’ve made it our mission to find the truth and to give it to them-because it’s not OUR story…it’s theirs.
She keeps a blog on her life in Korea. I’ve been reading it for a while now. I think it’s important to keep things like this in the public eye.
