Reality behind Aceh’s ‘orphans’

More than 85% of children sent to orphanages in the Indonesian province of Aceh after the tsunami have at least one parent alive, according to a report by the charity Save the Children and the Indonesian government.

  1. Oh jeez… I cried at the part where Apriliya’s gazing into his mother’s face and holding his father’s hand. It pisses me off that there’re these asshole adults out there who’s not doing all they can for the children’s happiness – how devastatingly tragic. It also pisses me off that, in most of these cases, these assholes are not held accountable for the money they’re (most likely) laundering.
