On Monday, the Science Museum of Minnesota begins a new exhibit about Race. I am featured in a short film as one of several participants discussing our experiences of race and racism. I am the "transracial adoptee" person.
According to the Star Tribune’s article "Science Museum puts new face on race":
The Science Museum of Minnesota wants to change the way we talk about race.
The museum’s new exhibit, which will travel the country after its debut run in the Twin Cities ends in May, uses an interactive format rich in science, history and culture to challenge outdated beliefs about human biology. "Race: Are We So Different?" was created in collaboration with the American Anthropological Association and aims to encourage deeper dialogue within and among communities. . .
Is there a way to find out where it will be touring too? I would like to get a chance to visit the exhibit if I could.
Currently, the exhibit is running at the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul from January 10, 2007 – May 6, 2007. The Exhibit will is scheduled to appear throughout the us including the following cities: Detroit, MI; Wichita, KS; Jersey City, NJ; Hartford, CT; Cleveland, OH; Cincinnati, OH; St. Louis, MO; Kalamazoo, MI; Boston, MA.
I cut and pasted that from the AAA website.
